What is PMI R.E.P.? |

It is PMI Registered Education Provider. PMCOE SEED is a recognized provider registered with the PMI Registered Education Provider Program (PMI R.E.P.). This program enhances the ongoing development of PMI members, Project Management Professionals (PMP) & other project management stakeholders by identifying providers of appropriate project management learning activities & products. PMCOE SEED accepts & adheres to all PMI R.E.P. Program policies, requirements and the rules concerning the provision of professional education activities & materials. |

PMBOK is Project Management Body Of Knowledge. The PMI created it as a framework & starting point for understanding Project Management. It defines & describes Project Management Knowledge areas & Process groups. PMCOE SEED’s 3 day module on “Understanding the Principles & Framework of Project Management”, comprehensively covers PMBOK guide as a step towards PMP certification. |

What is PMP? |

It is a short form of Project Management Professional.. A globally recognized & respected certification credential, it is an examination based professional certification awarded by Project Management Institute (PMI). The purpose and goal of this certification program is the development, maintenance, evaluation, promotion, and administration of a rigorous, examination-based, professional certification program of the highest caliber. It can enhance the prospects of desirous Project Managers. |

What are the prerequisites for PMP eligibility? |
| |
There are 2 categories of eligibility. |
| |
Category 1— At the time of application, the candidate holds a baccalaureate or equivalent university degree and has a minimum of 4,500 hours of project management experience within the five (5) process groups. The number of hours on the Experience Verification Form(s) must total at least 4,500 hours and the project dates must indicate that the candidate has at least three (3) years of project management experience within the six-year (6) period prior to the application. Candidates must indicate at least thirty-six (36) unique (non-overlapping) months of project management experience on the Experience Verification Form(s) to satisfy the three-year (3) requirement. |

Category 2— At the time of application, the candidate does not hold a baccalaureate or equivalent university degree but holds a high school diploma or equivalent secondary school credential, and has a minimum of 7,500 hours of project management experience within the five (5) process groups.* The number of hours on the Experience Verification Form(s) must total at least 7,500 hours and the project dates must indicate that the candidate has at least five (5) years of project management experience within the eight-year (8) period prior to the application. Candidates must indicate at least sixty (60) unique (non-overlapping) months of project management experience on the Experience Verification Form(s) to satisfy the five-year (5) requirement. |

What certificate will the participant get on completion of the module? |

A certificate with the PMI R.E.P. logo will be issued by PMCOE SEED. They have 2 types of certificates: |

Certificate of Participation – This certificate is given after the completion of any module of PMCOE SEED. |
| b. |
Certificate of Merit – This is given after completion of the Certificate Course in Project Management, which consists of the set of Project Management modules. The certificate & grades are issued after the evaluation of the participants. |

Is any experience required for attending Microsoft Project or any other course in Project Management at PMCOE SEED? |

We recommend that participants have project management background or at least have worked in project environment. |

Project Management is required only in large-scale industries or also in small-scale industries? |
| |
Project Management is a must wherever projects are carried out. It is independent of the size of the industry. It is a totally wrong conception that PM is required only in large-scale industries. |

How is your theory & practical schedule? |
| |
The theory & practical sessions are balanced. The module ‘Effective Use of MS Project in Project Management’ has extensive practical sessions where one-to-one PC is provided. Other modules like Understanding Principles & Framework of project management, estimating software projects, etc. do not require practicals on machine. We include a lot of Case Studies & Assignments. |
