SEED Infotech Ltd., in association with varsities in state have organized a university level Information Technology Knowledge competition titled ‘SEED IT Idol’ for college students. This initiative has been conceptualized with an aim to identify, promote and reward the IT Talent in our state. Winners of the competition will be felicitated with a trophy and attractive prizes like Laptop, Digital Camera, Tablet PC, Mobile Phone and many other fabulous prizes. It shall be held at select colleges affiliated with SEED Infotech Ltd. in Jan and Feb 2012.

1. Any bona fide student from associated varsities or colleges under them with basic knowledge of C language and Fundamental of Computers/Operating System can participate in this competition.
2. No fee for registrations or participation in this competition.

There will be 3 rounds for SEED IT Idol.

• Round 1 will be conducted in selected colleges and anybody is eligible to participate in this Round
  • Duration : 30 minutes
  • Total Marks : 60 marks
    
  • Question : 60 multiple choice questions
    
  • Subject : C Programming, Computer Fundamentals/OS etc.
    
  • Other notes - There will be 40 questions on C Programming and 20 Questions will be on Computer Fundamentals. There is no negative marking system and each question carries equal mark.
• The scorer of Round 1 from each college/out of participants from each college will be eligible for Round 2 based on criteria.
  • Duration : 30 minutes
  • Total Marks : 35 marks
  • Question : 35 multiple choice questions
  • Subject : C Programming, Computer Fundamentals/OS, Data Structures etc.
  • Other notes - There will be 15 questions on C Programming, 5 Questions on Data Structure and 10 Questions on Operating system and Computer Fundamentals. There is no negative marking system and each question carries equal mark. This would be conducted at a central location and would be followed by Final round.
    
• In Final Round, each participant will be asked at 10 questions on ‘C Programming & IT Awareness’ and winners will be selected on the basis of maximum number of correct answers. In case of tie up amongst the participants the round of 5 questions (tie-breaker) will be conducted.
• Prize Distribution ceremony will be held immediately after the Round II and Final Round at Central Location. The details would be communicated over SMS/eMail. You are also requested to contact nearest SEED Infotech branch for more details.

• Round 1 - is written test which will be conducted at Selected/Lead college or at college where in 100+ students are registering for Round 1 of competition.
• Round 2 and Final Round will be conducted at Central Location and Venue details, date and timings would be informed thru SMS, email. You are requested to contact nearest SEED Infotech center for more details. The Rounds 2 will be followed by 'Prize Distribution' Ceremony on the same date at same venue.
• On final day event participants are requested to be present 30 min before the scheduled time along with their hall tickets and College ID otherwise entry would be restricted.
  
• As and when you move to the next round you get attractive prizes. There are number of prizes to be won on event day also, so ensure your presence.
  
• In case of any dispute/difference of opinion/disagreement the decision of Management of SEED Infotech Ltd. and/or University authorities shall be final and binding to you all. Participant shall always keep the Company and/or University, It's Directors/Management etc. indemnified and harmless as regards the same.
  
• Organizers' reserves all the rights to make changes in conduct of the competition or prizes with out any prior intimation to participants.
