Who should attend...
 
- BE (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Chemical, Petrochemical, Aerospace and Biomedical)
- Minimum Third year ( Sem-II) of Engineering.
- Two-Five years of experience of working in Engineering or Engineering services industry.
- Exposure to Engineering analysis during education.
- Good understanding of mathematics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
   
  Course Content
  Duration : 120 Hrs.
  Revisiting fundamentals: Fluid mechanics, Heat transfer, Mathematics & Numerical methods
  Derivation of Navier Stokes equations.
  Solution techniques: Finite difference, Finite element and Finite volume methodologies
  Detailed formulation using Finite difference and Finite volume methods
  Steps in CFD: Preprocessing (Geometry and grid generation, Solving and Post Processing)
  Impact of grids, schemes, boundary conditions on the solution
  Turbulence modeling: Physical nature of turbulence, concept of modeling and solution strategies
  Advanced numerical methods implemented in commercial tools
  Hands-on sessions based on state of the art commercial tool (Gambit and FLUENT)
  Project
  Evaluation: Examination and Project presentation
